Pacific Northwest Shambhala Community

The Kootenay Shambhala Centre lies within the Pacific Northwest region of Shambhala. This region encompasses a vast area in the northwest corner of North America including the American states of Alaska, Oregon and Washington, and the Canadian provinces and territories of Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Yukon Territory.
Our regional community currently hosts one major annual retreat—the Pacific Northwest Winter Retreat, which typically includes a dathün (one-month group meditation retreat) and a shorter, advanced program, at Camp Pringle on Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia in December and January. We are working to build on this success.
Our regional acharya (senior teacher) is Jenny Warwick.
For information about Pacific Northwest regional development, contact Jim Northcote at info@nelsonbuddha.com.
