The Art of Self Care

With Ani Boudreau, Trisha Wilson and Shastri Russell Rodgers

March 23 - 25, 2018

Learn the fundamentals of Self Care by engaging in the practices of Meditation, Yoga Therapy, Compassionate Presence, and Healing Rituals.

Through the exploration of the themes Returning to Body, Working with Difficult Emotions, and Compassionate Exchange this light-hearted retreat will empower the participant with transformational embodied practices for working through difficult life challenges.

  • 7 – 9pm  Introduction
Saturday, March 24th
  • 8am – 12pm  Theme: Returning to Body.  Mindfulness and yoga practices with breakfast break
  • 12-1:30pm Lunch break
  • 1:30-6pm  Theme: Working with Difficult Emotions.  Mindfulness, yoga, journaling, creative play + discussion with break for tea
  • 6pm Potluck or meal together (TBD)
Sunday, March 25th
  • 8am-12pm   Theme:  Compassionate Exchange.  Mindfulness practices with breakfast break.  Meditation with Shambhala Meditation Centre community + Earth Wisdom practices.
  • 12-1:30pm Lunch break
  • 1:30-5pm  Yoga + Mindfulness practices with break for tea and Closing

Ani Boudreau
Anie uses advanced, cutting-edge mindfulness techniques based on 15 years experience and insights to help you improve your overall physical and emotional well-being. She works one-on-one with individuals, teaches classes, and facilitates programs & workshops specializing in topics such as living with chronic pain, addictions, and emotional distress. Anie can serve clients both in-person and online, and has extensive experience working remotely.

Trisha Wilson
Trisha Wilson is a dedicated yogini, mother and community activator.  She has a strong focus in therapeutic alignment, a loving curiosity for the great mysteries of life and a deep fondness for play.  A yoga teacher since 2005, Trisha is also a full mesa carrier in the Mountain Shamanism tradition (as taught by the Q’ero Medicine people of Peru).  She leads earth wisdom rituals bringing people together in celebrations of heart and spirit.  Her yoga classes weave asana with mythology, philosophy, poetry and mantra.  She is dedicated to the yogic path as sacred activism and infuses her classes with inspiration…

Shastri Russell Rodgers
Shastri Russell Rodgers became a student of Chögyam Trungpa in 1975. Shortly after that, he moved to the Kootenay region of British Columbia, where he has resided since. During that time he has occupied many administrative and teaching positions. He helped to create the Shambhala Centre’s retreat land, and had a large part in buying and renovating the new building for the Nelson Shambhala Centre. Before he retired, he managed a drop-in centre for people with mental illnesses. He has a wife and three grown children, two of whom live with their families in Asia.
