Week Long Meditation Retreat in the City

With Shastri Russell Rodgers

Join us for an opportunity to explore our ordinary lives in the context of deep practice.

The retreat will include meditation, yoga and Tibetan movement exercise. There will be a vegetarian breakfast and lunch, along with talks and guided meditation, and study of a meditation texts. Each session will begin with Shambhala Meditation, a practice that re-connects us with deep levels of who we are.

Suitable for beginning and advanced meditators alike, the evenings will have study and contemplative components in the environment of your own home. The retreat will be led by Shastri Russell Rodgers, a senior teacher who has over 42 years of meditation experience.

The cost will be $350, or $45 per day. There will be an early bird price reduction to $300 if you register before November 1 st . To ensure your place, please pay the full price or a deposit at the time you register.

Shastri Russell Rodgers
Shastri Russell Rodgers became a student of Chögyam Trungpa in 1975. Shortly after that, he moved to the Kootenay region of British Columbia, where he has resided since. During that time he has occupied many administrative and teaching positions. He helped to create the Shambhala Centre’s retreat land, and had a large part in buying and renovating the new building for the Nelson Shambhala Centre. Before he retired, he managed a drop-in centre for people with mental illnesses. He has a wife and three grown children, two of whom live with their families in Asia.
